Getting a URL, a Wi-Fi password or a paragraph from a phone onto a computer usually ends as an email to yourself or a message in your own chat, and both keep a copy forever on every device you are signed in on. This page opens in pairing mode instead: start a session on the computer, scan the code with the phone, and from then on the two sides sync live — no link to copy. Nothing to install on either machine, and neither one has to be signed in to anything.

What to expect
A session ends 30 minutes after the last edit, or the moment either side ends it; the server never sees the plaintext, because the key is in the part of the link that browsers never send. The QR code is just the session link, so anyone who can see the screen — or is sent the link — can join; end the session when you are done. If you would rather hand over a link that stays readable for a while, switch to “Share a link” at the top — ten minutes is preselected there.
